Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Crochet Lab app ("the app") published by Bak Labs ("we," "us"). By using the app or adding balance to your account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Crochet Lab is not directed at children under 13.

Your account balance

Crochet Lab uses a prepaid dollar balance. You add funds to your account, and the app draws from that balance each time you create a new design. Before every paid design the app shows the exact cost and asks you to confirm. Browsing starter designs, resizing, changing yarn, saving, and sharing are free.

• Your balance can only be used to create designs within the app. It has no cash value, is not a bank deposit or gift card, and cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash.
• Prices for designs and top-up amounts are shown in the app and may change over time. Any change applies only to purchases made after the change.

Payments

Purchases are processed by the app store you downloaded the app from (for example, Google Play or the Apple App Store) under that store's own terms. We never receive or store your card or payment details — we receive only confirmation of a completed purchase and the amount to credit to your balance.

Refunds

Added balance is non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or granted under the policies of the app store that processed your purchase. Your statutory rights and any refund rights the app store gives you are not affected by this section — to request a store refund, use that store's refund process.

Expiration of balance

We reserve the right to expire unused balance that has been inactive for twelve (12) months or more. If we begin enforcing expiration, we will give you advance notice and a reasonable opportunity to use your balance first, and we will apply expiration only as permitted by applicable law. Balance is also removed if you delete your account (see below).

AI-generated content

Patterns and preview images are generated by AI and are provided "as is." A preview is a visualization and may not match your finished piece once crocheted, and written patterns may contain errors or omissions. Please use your own judgment and crochet experience. You are responsible for anything you make from a pattern.

Acceptable use

Please don't use the app to generate unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, to abuse or overload the service, or to attempt to circumvent billing. We may suspend accounts that do.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app or by request. Deleting your account permanently erases your saved patterns and your remaining balance, which cannot be recovered or refunded. See our account deletion page for details.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bak Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
